In House Working at Heights courses teach people how to work safely at heights, including how to assess risks, use equipment, and follow emergency procedures.
Aims
Course Overview
This training is delivered either at our site or a location of your choice, with facilities required for both theory and practical components.
The course covers:
- Working at Height Regulations 2005 (Amended 2007)
- Working at Height Operations
- Preventative Measures
- Site Safety Awareness
The training combines theory and hands on practice. Candidates will participate in lessons supported by a presentation and a detailed lesson plan. To complete the practical assessment, candidates will demonstrate the ability to:
- Correctly fit a safety harness
- Perform all necessary safety checks
The practical assessment is untimed, allowing candidates to work at their own pace to achieve competency.
Entry Requirements
Delegates must be competent in English. The course content is suited to all ability levels.
Course Duration
Half a day course.
Assessment & Examination
The examination is compulsory and consists of multiple choice questions covering key aspects of the course. To pass, candidates must complete all mandatory elements, including the practical assessment. This ensures they demonstrate both theoretical knowledge and practical competency in Working at Height.
Certification
On successful completion of the course, candidates will receive an ‘Allenby Training Services Limited’ certificate. It is recommended that this certificate is renewed every 3 years.
