If you work in England and / or Scotland you have to take a reassessment with a Centre. The reassessment can be taken between the first year of the ID card life and up to five years after the card has expired.
Please note once the expiry date on the card has passed, the card is no longer valid and must be renewed.
Reassessment Requirements and Guidance
Reassessment (England and / or Scotland)
For Candidates working in England and / or Scotland, card validity depends on the qualification recertification date. Therefore, each qualification successfully achieved will be given a unique expiry date on the card corresponding to the qualification certification date.
Where the card is approaching expiry, the Candidate will require to complete a reassessment of the qualifications they wish to retain. Assessment is compulsory but training is not. The Centre will be able to advise on the most appropriate route for card renewal. Reassessment for this is multiple-choice knowledge examinations.
Candidates may reassess up to five years after the card expiration date.
Certification & SWQR card
On successful completion candidates will be issued with CABWI Certification and a Street Works Qualification Register card. The qualification is valid for 5 years and renewable.
Entry Requirements
The minimum entry requirement is a good understanding of spoken and written English.
