City & Guilds – Streetworks

City & Guilds New Roads and Streetworks courses for Supervisors and Operatives, together with the Refresher.  These courses are designed for those who work in the highways and are responsible for locating underground apparatus, setting up equipment for works within the highway and carrying out excavation, back-fill and reinstatement using hot and cold-lay bituminous material.

Operative 

LA  Location and avoidance of underground apparatus

O1  Signing, lighting and guarding

O2  Excavation in the highway

O3  Reinstatement and compaction of backfill material

O4  Reinstatement of sub-base and roadbase in non-bituminous

O5  Reinstatement in cold-lay bituminous materials

O6  Reinstatement in hot-lay bituminous materials

O8  Reinstatement of modular surfaces and concrete footways
