City & Guilds

City & Guilds New Roads and Streetworks

Supervisors and Operatives courses are combined.

These courses are designed for those who work in the highways and are responsible for locating underground apparatus, setting up equipment for works within the highway and carrying out excavation, back-fill and reinstatement using hot and cold-lay bituminous material.

New Roads and Streetworks Refresher/Renewal Tests

The NR&SW Refresher/Renewal tests were introduced into the industry in April 2010. These tests replace the simple application for renewal process and are designed to re-fresh your knowledge based around the information you gathered during your training and also your experience on site thereafter.

The window for applying to do the Refresher/Renewal Tests is changing as of April 2017 – there will no longer be a grace period of 6 months following the expiry of your NR&SW card.

The NR&SW Refresher/Renewal tests can be completed as early as 12 months prior to your cards expiry date. Failure to pass these tests prior to expiry will result in the candidate having to complete the full course again. Please do not hesitate to telephone our team should you need any further information or guidance.

City & Guilds Confined Spaces

These qualifications are for those who have to enter, supervise or manage confined spaces. They are short course single unit qualifications and are supported by the Health and Safety Executive.

These courses are being run on a regular basis at our centre in Lincoln – check our scheduled dates.
